UX Mixtape is a creative side project blending my passions for UX design, music, AI, and learning.
I’m Mario Picariello — a UX designer, creative thinker, and lifelong musician — and I built UX Mixtape to make learning UX feel fun, human, and unforgettable.
Every track teaches a real UX concept — from user flows to personas to usability testing — wrapped up in a catchy, original song you can sing along to.
It’s designed to help you learn core UX principles without the jargon or heavy textbooks, in a way that's playful, accessible, and a little unexpected.
After years in the UX world, I realized:
Most UX learning resources are serious, technical, or dry.
Music makes information stick — we remember lyrics better than lectures!
AI is opening new doors for creative, alternative learning formats.
So I thought:
"What if UX principles could live in your headphones like your favorite playlist?"
UX Mixtape was born — a way to learn, reflect, and have fun with UX, one track at a time.
🎵 Original UX Learning Songs: Each track covers a different UX topic with a beat and a smile.
🧠 Companion Sheets: Free mini-workbooks to dive deeper after each song.
🎬 Blueprint Visuals: A blueprint aesthetic connecting design thinking and creativity.
🎤 More to Come: New tracks, new challenges, and maybe even new collaborations.
UX Mixtape is an experiment, a passion project, and a love letter to creativity in learning.
It’s proof that UX isn’t just about designing apps — it’s about designing experiences people connect with. Even experiences like this.
If you learn something new, smile a little, or find yourself humming along... mission accomplished.
